  This cottage is stunning.

  So much room. It was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. A lovely welcome gift left for our arrival, lots of detail thought of. It’s a fabulous size house and will comfortably sleep at least 8 people. All the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. So much so we have purchased the same quilt and pillows as we had such a good nights sleep. From Soak and Sleep! There are two lounges which is perfect when you have kids- especially teenagers who want to play the Wii or watch Netflix! Loads of games in the one lounge which we all enjoyed playing and the Wii was an added bonus! Huge dining table perfect for a large group. Well equipped kitchen, everything looked new and was very clean. Very good quality equipment and appliances. Overall the house was of a very high standard and felt very homely. Highly recommend La Casita which is opposite. Stunning food, wonderful staff. There is a chip shop 5 minutes walk away and a pharmacy and a cost cutter directly opposite. The beach, Carbis Bay, is a 10-15 minute walk away. Coming back up is very steep! The beach is beautiful and has cafes and toilets. The train station to St Ives is half way down the hill to the beach and only takes 5 minutes to get to St Ives. Well worth it- don’t bother driving it!! You can walk to St Ives which would take only about 40 minutes. The location is perfect for visiting the area and we had lots of days out. 2 car parking at rear which was perfect. We were very sad to leave, wonderful cottage, fantastic location. Thank you to the owners for such a wonderful stay! Hopefully we will be back next year!!

  The holiday flat was lovely.

  Very spacious and thoroughly enjoyable to stay in. The king size bed was so comfortable, one of the bed I've stayed in. Lots of wardrobe space and beautifully laid out with added entertainment of games and puzzles for us to enjoy as a family. Just a couple of points to add. There were so many unexpected extras which were brilliant, but it would have been great to have known some of these in advance e.g. hairdryer and straighteners, ample amounts of fans to keep us cool and washing up accessories - dishwasher tablets and fairy liquid included. It mentioned in the booking info to bring beach towels and tea-towels, however, the property had plenty of tea towels which was very useful. A little list of what the property included would have been wonderful to know in advance. Slight issues - the TV controller in the small bedroom didn't work, the bottle opener is not easy to use as has wonky arms making opening bottles very difficult and making guests aware of the unpredictable wifi before arriving would have been a great heads up - especially as it advertised as one of the amenities included in the property. However, we had a very enjoyable stay in the Loft within the busy heart of St Ives. Thank you

  We stayed for a fortnight in the Sail Loft, it was fabulous.

  Lots of room for the four of us. Appliances and furnishings were high quality. Beds were very comfy. We very much appreciated the welcome items, thank you. Having a washing machine and drier was great. Shower and bath were lovely. Usually when I stay in a holiday apartment there is something missing that would improve the apartment, not so with the Sail Loft, it is a real home from home. We appreciated the wetsuit, beach chairs, buckets and spades, there was even hair straighteners! Sky TV and a dvd player are in the living room, all the bedrooms have TVs too, the main bedroom has Netflix, NOW TV etc. I enjoyed lovely walks to Carbis Bay each morning, then everything within St Ives was within walking distance. The restaurants were amazing! St Ives even had a visit from King Charles while we were there! We bought a Rover ticket for parking which meant we could park in all the places that we visited including St Ives. There is a Co op very conveniently situated about one minute from the apartment. We would love to come back one day. I highly recommend this apartment.

  Having enjoyed many stays in your properties over the years, this one was a disappointment.

  Arrival was not a good experience. A gate with rotting wood which was difficult to open and close.. Rats running around in the outside space. A very tired looking kitchen with unusable equipment. A snug lounge with damp walls. Main lounge was comfortable as was the bedroom we used. No extractor fan in en suite shower room. Main bathroom bath scratched and stained. Front door and entrance needs a bit of tlc. Hot water to kitchen was a bit erratic. A disgusting bbq. You fixed dribbling tap within couple of hours of us contacting you. Rat traps were laid during our stay so was not inclined to let dog out or use that space during our stay. Property is not semi-detached as advertised, it’s mid-terrace. As frequent visitors to Carbis Bay we knew the locations of semi-detached properties on St Ives Road. This turned out to be not one of them. If you provide an email address I can send you photos.

  We have just returned from 3 glorious weeks staying at Avon Cottage.

  It is ideally placed being so near St Ives which is easily accessible by bus no.16 with the stop just around the corner by Tesco. It takes you directly to Royal Square saving the difficulty of driving in and trying to find parking. Staying at Avon Cottage was a wonderful experience because it has really comfy beds and pillows. There is plenty of space for all visitors and there are thoughtful touches like books and games as well as a smart TV and good Wi-Fi. We cooked each day and found all appliances in the kitchen easy to use and efficient. We would have liked more mugs as we did run out of these quite often and perhaps a couple of plastic bowls for the microwave would have been useful. Otherwise the cottage is top notch and well recommended. We really enjoyed our stay and loved meeting the owners.
