What our customers say about their holidays

Stayed here for a lovely get away with my teenage son and dog!
Beautiful location! Stones throw away from the local very friendly pub! And a short walk to a beautiful beach- that we couldnât access due to having our dog and was during the peak time of no dogs allowed which was unfortunate. Leads to a Costal path is on the front door step! Only downside was one day the master bedroom became ultra infested with flying ants!! Think this could of been an issue before as found a lot of fly and ant spray in the cupboards- maybe this needs to be looked into for future bookers! Another minor downside was there was no cupboard space for storing food, there is a huge selection of plates and glasses- maybe way too much? Having to store our food heaped onto the kitchen sides made it feel incredibly cluttered which was a shame, maybe a cupboard or 2 being empty would of been nice just to have things put away. But these to me were minor- I would stay again as the property was just wonderful overall.

If you are wanting a modern place to stay, this isn't the one, however if you want a place to stay that will make you feel like you're in France, 100% this is the one.
The seating out the front was an amazing sun trap and it was really nice going up to the top of the garden to have a BBQ and play croquet (these facilities are there for use). The facilities aren't great in regards to the tele being very small, and the kitchen being quite old, but we barely spent any time watching tele due to being out on day trips, or playing pool in the games room (pool table and table tennis table aren't amazing but did a job). We were a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. It was very dusty and there were a lot of cobwebs, but it wasn't a massive issue for us. Was great having a washing machine, however it did break towards the end of our stay, but I'm assuming it will be fixed soon. If we were looking for a place to stay around that area again, then we would not think twice about re-booking.

The holiday annex was situated in a perfect location, not more than ten minutes from the sea and Dartmouth.
The local store not far away and in the village post office had all the items one would need to be self sufficient. Even down to the birthday card left at home for the wife. The break was for a period of one week and unfortunately weather this year wasnât to kind and ment only one day on the beach at Slapton sands. The unfortunate situation was our blind dog who developed cataract a week earlier caught his toe nail in the shingles at the annex and needed veterinary care immediately back home. But we enjoyed the three days at the annex before returning home early. We would certainly recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to visit south Devon. My only critique would be to lay artificial grass instead of shingles in the garden to prevent small dogs tripping or stumbling.

It may be time to replace the mattresses on all beds.
Very uncomfortable, bossy, squeaky. Cleanliness was OK but again bedding could be refreshed. I also had bites on my legs. I moved the beds in the spare room to find crackers, crisp packets and roll on deodorant, so the cleaners can't do that good a job. Overall a lovely place but new mattesses, bedding and a deep clean of both bedrooms would be beneficial. It was also a real shame to have our last day of the holiday disturbed by heavy garden maintenance, not very relaxing. This was in addition to scaffolding being put on the property next door (owners I presume) half way through our holiday which was not only noisy but blocked us in for arouns 2 hours one morning as we weren't able to get out of the drive was unloading scaffolding and setting up around the house.

Lovely small bungalow accommodation, just right for two people.
Situated down a country lane, so very peaceful, but only a few miles from Dartmouth and the coast. Ideal for visiting South Devon. Both Torquay and Plymouth are around an hour away, with plenty of other small towns and other attractions within that range. There are quite a few National Trust properties in the area, so having a membership to the NT is a good idea. Another good trip is to visit Buckfast Abbey, its a lovely peaceful location. The only issue we had with the accommodation was due to my wife's poor mobility.she struggled on the small stones used outside the property for the outdoor seating area and also the two steps up to the property itself as there is no rail to hold onto. Will definitely consider the property again next time we are holidaying in the area.
