What our customers say about their holidays

Lovely, clean and well maintained property.
Dog friendly but donât let that put you off, it was spotless. An upside down house with 2 en-suite bedrooms on opposite sides of the hallway. One double, one twin. I would have preferred the double to be in the other room which had the nicer walk in shower and was lighter and brighter, but both rooms were good so not a problem and I enjoyed the double ended bath for a good soak. The living area upstairs is spacious with kitchen at one end and sun room with small balcony at the other. The sun room is particularly comfy and loved the filled bird feeder which meant I saw my first ever woodpecker! Your own private hot tub which is fully cleaned between bookings made for good relaxation after a day of coastal hills! Well equipped kitchen; electric hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with good sized ice box. Washing machine, laundry basket and airer. Hairdryer and towels provided. Dishwasher tablets, hand soap, kitchen cleaning stuff provided. Salt, pepper and cling film/sarnie bags provided so no need to bring. Could do with more âproperâ mugs for a good sized cuppa. Tips for a good stay: restaurants get booked up so worth advance booking. Moody cow looked nice for sun lunch. The Pepper pot was pleasant for lunch or dinner. The Cost Cutter local shop in New Quay had a surprisingly good selection inc vegetarian. Big supermarkets are a bit further afield so get an advance Tesco delivery or shop on the way. Note that sat nav only gets you so far, donât forget to drop a pin on the map once arrived so you can find your way back! Itâs not hard once you know but confusing the first few times. We enjoyed walking from llangranog and tresaith to pen bryn (which had the better cafe). All in all, a lovely relaxing stay. Thank you.

The general cleanliness was not good.
We had to wash cooking utensils before using them, there was also bits of hair and dirt in the drawer of the kitchen units. The cullender had green stuff on the bottom of it, so whoever had previously been there had not washed up properly and there's even a dishwasher. So there's really no reason for it not to be clean. The microwave was also in a filthy state with bits of food splattered inside it. There were cobwebs by the fire extinguisher and down the back of one of the bedside cabinets. Additionally, the walkway down to the property is very treacherous, particularly after it's rained, it was rather slippy and one of the steps appears to have broken in two and when I stepped on it, part of it slid from under my foot because of the wet soil/muddy texture underneath and I almost lost my footing. This needs to be rectified, it's only a matter of time before someone does fall, particularly if it's wet. The final thing is that we could not see anywhere to put, or any instructions where to put, our rubbish, nor the dog's poo bags. Consequently, we ended up leaving our rubbish in black bags inside the doorway and I had to leave the dog poo bagged up outside, with the little bags all bagged up in a bigger bag. This is not what we would normally do on a holiday, but we could not find anything in the information folder in regard to this. If it is in there, it needs to be made clearer. Or place suitable bins by the cottage for this. We took photos of the above problems (microwave, drawer, cullender, walkway.etc) should you need to see them.

Lovely property, very quiet location perfect to relax. The hot tub was ready for our arrival which was great. Couldn't find the hairdryer but a quick text to the owner and they sorted one of theirs for me to borrow as the previous people had pinched the original one! Lovely welcome pack of cakes and Welsh cakes and a little bottle of milk. The bed was comfy and there are plenty of blankets as it does get chilly at night. It does get super warm when the sun is out but there are plenty of fans and once you open the doors and windows it soon cools down. Was great to have an oven and microwave and a big fridge freezer so we could have meals in rather then eat out all the time. The nearest big supermarket is morrisons which is 30 mins away by car in Aberystwyth however there is a nisa just a 5 minute walk across the horse field which had a really good selection of stuff. Abaeraron is a 2 mile walk, it's a nice walk, you can't really walk down the main a437 as there's no path however if you follow the path as far as you can then take a right through the houses there's a path all the way into town, it's not for the faint hearted lol it is a very steep slope for around half a mile. New quay is a 10 minute drive away, it's very small but very pretty. The owners are very welcoming and the views from the silo balcony are beautiful with just the horses as neighbours. Considering its on a working livery farm the noise of tractors didn't bother us at all and it wasn't all day every day either.

What a super property in a truly wonderful and tranquil rural location yet within a short drive of excellent local pub and convenience store.
Pond cottage, one of two lovely detached holiday cottages in a small complex of three homes in all including the owners' former farm house, is a genuine delight. The property is unusual perhaps with it's inverted accommodation but exceptionally spacious throughout, interesting in layout and ideal in particular for two couples with it's two large double bedrooms each having extremely generous bathroom or shower room but separated by a large entrance hall with useful fully equipped utility cupboard under the stairs. A single step down at the end of the large lounge/diner leads into an additional seating area with two comfortable chairs from which visitors can admire a stunning variety of birds on the nut feeder and balcony immediately outside. The excellent Kitchen/Breakfast Room completes the accommodation and is not only extremely well fitted and equipped but again unusually generous in size. The covered hot tub just outside the back door was more than a bonus, it was a delight in itself with direct outlook over the grounds which themselves afford a gorgeous setting with plenty of opportunity for dog walking. Last but not least, a special mention must be made of the owners Mark and Philippa who are most helpful, warm and welcoming and made us feel quite at home. Casper and Bailey, the owners' very friendly Spaniels, contributed to that welcome too !

A Peaceful Escape in Nature: We had the most peaceful stay. It’s thoughtfully equipped with sustainable touches; compost bins, biodegradable sponges, fast cookers, and a beautifully designed shower. There are also fun games to enjoy, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. After recently experiencing some deep personal grief, we were seeking a calm and restorative weekend away and this cabin was exactly what we needed. The stillness was almost surreal; you could hear a pin drop… with only the occasional sheep in the distance. The air felt pure, and every piece of furniture was designed for comfort. Though compact, the cabin is expertly styled to make the most of the space, offering everything you need for a restful and grounded experience. A highlight for me was meditating on the patio. It’s conveniently located just five minutes from Devil’s Bridge and a number of scenic hiking trails, which made it an ideal base for our adventures. Do note the nearest supermarkets (Tesco, M&S, and Morrisons) are about a 20-minute drive away. Our dog Vinny loved exploring the area too. The cabin sits beside two others, each with their own gardens though almost attached. So if you have an anxious or reactive pup, it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, a magical stay. Thank you, for creating such a welcoming and serene space.
