  The holiday lodge was very clean, tastefully furnished and very well equipped.

  It is located in a nice, quiet spot with the park facilities are all in walking distance. The booking process was easy and arrival instructions were excellent. We were delighted with the space and comfort the lodge gave us and with the ramp and walk in shower it was perfect for my elderly mum and aunty with her little dog. The welcome bottle of wine and chocolates were a lovely gesture. We arranged a grocery delivery for the arrival evening which meant we could stock the fridge freezer and gave us the option of eating in to stay Covid safe if we wanted. Being so well equipped made that easy. The lodge was warm and comfortable. Whatever the weather it is perfect. There is a lovely patio with comfortable seating for warm sunny days and heating and a fire if it’s chilly and you want to snuggle up with a good book or watch one of the 3 televisions! I loved the fact that the Cleveland Way was so close and provides a fantastic coastal walk with great scenery. Our original holiday plans have been disrupted due to Covid19 but this holiday gave us time to relax, explore the area and live comfortably and well in a quality holiday home. Thank you!!

  We had a great weekend in Moorland House.

  It felt very homely, welcoming and had everything we needed for a lovely time away. We have family in Scarborough and they came up to visit us. There was plenty of room to accommodate us all in the kitchen and dining room for a lovely catch up. The courtyard is really nice, unfortunately we didn’t get chance to sit out there because of the weather, but the little out house with the washing machine and dryer in was very handy. We had an issue with the bathroom door in that the handle was quite loose and nearly did come off while someone was in there. I left a note in the visitor’s book about it. The beds were lovely and comfy and the two bathrooms was a godsend with there being six of us. Close to Peasholm Park, town and the beach. Can not fault this house at all. The bottle of wine, cake and milk was a nice touch as well. We would stay here again and would definitely recommend to friends. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

  This is our third visit to Moorland House and we will be booking for next year.

  We love this place which is a home from home and it's location. So close to Peasholm Park and North Bay beach for the doggie walks and as a base for visiting the local area - Whitby is fantastic with so much to do. Found the Italian Gardens in South Bay this time and loved feeding the squirrels in the garden, especially the Rose Garden - they are so friendly you can actually give the nut to them and they sit and eat it near you then ready for the next one. If you want more action lots of Arcades on the South Bay front and the beach straight off the road. North Bay Fisheries is a great fish n chip shop just down the road from this property. Highly recommend this property, Scarborough and the owner Ryk who left a lovely welcome cake, milk and wine for your arrival - however as a diabetic did have to take an extra shot of insulin as it would have rude not to have a slice of the chocolate cake.

  Absolutely fantastic!

  Every basic need was accounted for- we holiday frequently in vans around this area and this is the first time most of the gear we take for day to day life was supplied(still used our stuff for the majority but it really was appreciated). Van was spotless on arrival,instructions clearly marked and easy to follow- not a single complaint nor even a minor niggle as far as the van goes- kids were a tad disappointed at the site wifi signal strength and restrictions(but thats on Parkdean,not the van-they really need to modernise their system!) but this was the tiniest of things-most other sites have no wifi at all so they made do when required.Cannot recommend this van enough,nor praise the owners for everything-made our break even more enjoyable. Awesome,fantastic,brilliant,beautifully kept...11/10 stars..

  Location of lodge is wonderful, however the cleanliness was NOT what it first appeared.

  On entering the lodge on arrival all looked as I would expect. As we couldn't get in until 4pm, we didn't go far the first night. Having showered and sat in to watch TV, we were horrified to find that the carpets were filthy so much so that feet had to be washed again before getting into bed. The window in the second bedroom didn't open and made sleeping very uncomfortable. The decor needs to be tidied up with more than a splash of paint that doesn't match in colour. It really was just attention to detail - cleaning of carpets, fixing the window, take a look at the decoration throughout. Bigger towels are needed as the ones supplied were not big enough to cover an adult !!! The bottle of wine and bar of chocolate was a nice touch and appreciated.
